Education & Outreach

To truly eradicate breast cancer, we must not only invest in research for a cure for future generations, but we must also help meet the immediate breast health needs of women and their families facing the disease today.

In addition to raising funds for breast health programs for underserved women in Dallas, Komen’s Dallas County Affiliate also operates an extensive Education and Outreach program to educate and raise awareness among ALL families in Dallas that EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES. Early detection and treatment offer the best chance of cure and more treatment options. When the disease is confined to the breast, the 5-year survival rate is over 95%.
