The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, Komen Dallas funded over $1,850,000 for local community programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Dallas County. In addition to funding outreach, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have sent over $550,000 to the Organization for research in 2010.


Applications will be accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in Dallas County starting September 1, 2010 for the fiscal year April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority. All requests for science research funding should be directed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Award and Research Grant Program. More information on research funding is available at
