Grant Application

The Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 2010. Applications for breast cancer and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and educational institutions in Dallas County are eligible for funding.

The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cures. The Organization runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have sent over $600,000 to the Organization for research in 2009. In addition to funding research, the Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Dallas County. In 2009, we funded over $1,800,000 to local community programs.

Applications are being accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in Dallas County. However, projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority. All requests for science research funding should be directed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Award and Research Grant Program. More information on research funding is available at www.komen.org/grants

Our grant cycle runs from April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011. Eligible applications must be post marked by October 30, 2009 or delivered to the office by noon, November 1, 2009. Announcements of funding will be made on no later than March 31, 2010.
