Cowman Less than 2 months ago, a beautiful and young mother lost her race with breast cancer and inspired thousands of supporters. Sara Sullivan’s husband, Brady Sullivan, together with their baby daughter, Chloe (born with a heart shaped birth mark!), continue to keep Sara’s loving spirit alive. Brady bravely shared Sara’s story with our community when the loss was still fresh. He was supported by Team SaraStrong, 60 people and counting, who inspired so many at this year’s Race for the Cure. Team SaraStrong has raised over $22,600 in memory of Sara. Therese Sullivan, SaraStrong Team Captain and Sara’s sister-in-law, continues what Nancy Brinker started over 27 years ago – the power between two sisters to make a difference. But we can do more. Let’s not stop until we know that Sara’s precious little girl will grow up in a world where she doesn’t have to worry about breast cancer and that her mom’s story helped make a positive difference in many other women’s lives. Twenty-five percent of the funds we raise go towards research and 75% stay right here in Dallas assisting women and men with life saving education, screening, treatment and support. If every race participant raised just $100, over $3 million would be raised to fight breast cancer. That’s an impact.
